The rule of law is not an exclusive property of lawyers.

A judge should be left free to decide cases brought before him based on the facts and the relevant points of law. If you disagree there are legitimate channels of appeal. For me, the biggest threat to the rule of law is when a judge is threatened, for whatever reason.

By threatening a judge in this way, the Law Society of Kenya is leading an assault on the institution of the judiciary.

Well put @Ngunyi .We have reached a stage where the new constitution means nothing. The lawyers (LSK) cannot be the judges in all cases.Judgement like a scientific theses can only be countered by facts of law and let the people/peers be the judge. You cannot criminalize a judge for issuing a ruling.I have listened to a lawyer who participated in the presidential petition recently talk about the judges in very demeaning way.According to her the SC justices are “worse than those of lower court” . That is even after the hon. justices treated her with courtesy and respect in the court as “she presented nonsense/BS” in the name of evidence.LSK must learn that they cannot be allowed to threaten justices and get away with it.The CJ must stand firm and defend the court from these “self appointed know it all hooligans” whose duty it turns out is to sell very shallow political agenda.

Mr Kamlesh Pattni achieved some measure of development in Nairobi even if he was lured into malpractices by the then government of the day.Through his Uhuru highway development company he built The Grand Regency .A landmark in Nairobi..Can any one person imagine how many Kenyans have benefitted and are still benefiting from this project? When we point an accusing finger at Brother Paul, think of the Kenyans who worked on building site and those who are still working there.Because of Pattni they have and are earning their bread, paying bills and supporting Kenyan families. What did his said co-looters do with their loot?Any landmark built by them?..The action by LSK smells of mischief.LSK should instead take action against people who sold the Grand Regency to the Libyans. It was not in Kenyan interest to sell the Regency.LSK should help uncover how much was that sale?Who benefitted from the sale? And with change of leadership in Libya, who is the owner of the Regency now?By the way Kamlesh repented and is now Brother in Christ Paul Kamlesh Pattni. Can LSK sober up and close this file?
