The mVisa QR Code is a form of a bar code that has the merchant’s information(merchant name & account number) required for the payment. You will just need to scan this QR code with the scanner built in the mVisa app to start the payment process.

Where can I use it

You only need a smartphone with a data connection and your bank’s mobile-app that supports mVisa, downloaded on your phone or any phone that can access your bank’s USSD platform.

What if I lose my phone

If you lose your mobile phone, please contact your bank immediately. With mVisa, you authorize each payment with an mPIN (passcode) which prevents other people from using your account even when you lose your phone as only you know your mPIN.

How do I start

  1. Register for mobile banking and download your bank’s mobile banking appor upgrade your existing mobile banking app.
  2. Open the app or access your bank’s USSD platform and select mVisa.
  3. Set an mPIN, if required.
