Get in formation: Punk band slips onto Beyonce vinyl

Beyonce has become increasingly experimental, but this sounded a bit much: some fans who bought vinyl of her latest album “Lemonade” wound up with music from a Canadian punk band.

ZEX — an Ottawa hardcore quartet whose songs include “Child Soldier” and “Burn the Flag” — posted on Facebook a yellow record labeled as Beyonce’s “Lemonade” playing on a turntable, but the sound was guitar power chords and shouted vocals.

Columbia Records in a statement acknowledged a manufacturing mistake, blaming unspecified “human error” at a plant in Germany.

Rejecting any notion that it was an artistic decision, the label said: “Beyonce and ZEX were not aware of or responsible for the mispress.”

The mistake was only on the A-side of “Lemonade” on a small number of records, said the label, which promised refunds and exchanges.

ZEX — who have 8,000 likes on Facebook, compared with Beyonce’s 64 million — on Monday were directing the curious to a new website to buy the music.

“Lemonade,” which came out last year, was considered the most musically adventurous album of the pop superstar’s career as she branched into hip-hop, country — and hard rock, with Jack White and Led Zeppelin members among the credited songwriters.

the emergence of new Africa is important to the whole world. it should be supported not destroyed. Kenya will rise to help Africa rise. all African countries are taking enough lessons from Kenya and the future is brighter with a more empowered Africa.

A truth and reconciliation process in post-apartheid South Africa gave rise to Nelson Mandela and Fredrick de Klerk as Nobel peace laureates.

With the pair of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto having reconciled previously antagonistic communities, the ICC should avoid jeopardising our societal gains of peace and reconciliation. Our President-elect and VP-elect should be candidates for the Nobel peace prize.

There is in one inescapable TRUTH. The moment Uhuru refuses to go to The Hague is the moment everything goes crazy. As long as Uhuru cooperates with the ICC why should there be a problem. And of course once Uhuru is at The Hague, Kimemia can take over. This maneno of governing by Skype is nonsense.

There is a difference between UK opposition MPs stand and the official UK government stand that is: “choices have consequences”.

The UK government in responding to the queries, made their standing clear that they support Kenya and will continue working with Kenya and the president elect.

Go away!! Your president that never was is a dictator who thrives in violence. Kenyans have discovered his poor tactics of weeping emotions and sowing seeds of hatred against one community to win political support

It is not that the UK MPs want to help Kenya achieve its goals of reducing the poverty and all that; they are looking at their own interest. They will lose out if the country leans further to the East. The country has been gradually discovering east over the last five years. The west is watching keenly on the developments and is genuinely concerned.

If you think China is helping Kenya as a friend you are very much mistaken. They like us to get in debt with them so that they are in a strong negotiating position when it comes to buying minerals and oil. Our vision 2030 depend upon industrialisation and benefiting from our initial low labour cost so we will be in direct competition with China and eastern economies. There are a billion Chinese who are in the villages and not yet enjoying the improved living standards of industrialisation. China will be our greatest challenge as we try to industrialise.
