Flipping meat often is OK. Apparently, whether you flip your meat often or not, the outcome is the same.
Baking soda will not kill any odours in the fridge.
Alcohol doesn’t ‘burn off’.
Marinades and other ‘concoctions’ do not tenderise meat. The theory is that yoghurt based marinades penetrate the meat a little more.
Ice, flour or butter will not help a burn. Cool water is the most effective.
