#Travel: The Dubai Miracle Garden is an absolute must-see!

Growing up, I remember seeing my mother dot our house with vases full of flowers as often as she could. When we finally moved to a house with a lawn, both her and my dad began to invest even more time in creating a flower oasis at a corner of the garden.

And whenever those flowers were in full bloom, it turned our garden into Eden.

Naturally, this fascination with flowers trickled down to me and I begun to appreciate the life, colour and warmth that a good bouquet would inject into my home.

So you can only imagine how excited I was when I realized that Dubai had a park dedicated to the beauty of blooms.

100 million blooming flowers

When I say that this garden will blow your mind, believe me.

The park has approximately 100 million blooming flowers that take the shape of giant hearts, butterflies and even ostriches!

In fact, it was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest flower arrangement forming the shape of the Airbus A380. Yup, there’s a full sized airplane made of flowers, ladies and gentlemen; an actual Airbus A380.

It’s hard to describe the beauty of this place and I can only hope the pictures I tried to capture can give you an idea.

It almost felt like I had finally been granted a key to the Secret Garden, only when I unlocked the door and stepped into this fairy tale, it was bigger and better than I could have ever imagined.

The Dubai Miracle Garden

Located in Albasha South 3 Barsha, the park was launched on Valentine’s Day, 2013, and welcomes over 55,000 visitors every week to view more than 70 flower varieties.

It’s important to note, however that the park is not open all year round but a quick visit to their website should clear up whether it’s open for visits.

With tickets costing 40AED (roughly Kshs1,120 or $11) it’s definitely worth the visit and all the instagram-perfect backdrops you can imagine!

It’s incredibly enchanting and a must-see for anyone visiting Dubai.

Happy exploring!
