5-Day Bordeaux Wine Tour
As unveiled last week, this magnificent adults-only trip to the Bordeaux region begins at the newly-opened La Cité du Vin or “The City of Wine” – a museum-theme park dedicated to wine.
The following day will be spent at Château Lynch Bages – known for its innovative and daring reputation for often being the last to harvest and as Pauillac’s greatest – where guests will be attending wine school and become their own winemaker. Guided by a sommelier, guests will learn more about the characteristics of each Bordeaux grape variety and make their own blend!
The Château’s reputation as a top quality wine producer took-off in 1945 after a series of exceptional vintages. Since then, the wine’s deep colour and tannic backbone have become part of its signature style. Following a delectable lunch at a local gourmet restaurant, the afternoon will continue with the touring of Chateaux Wine Road and a wine tasting in a Margaux Grand Cru Classification 1855. The day will be spent exploring Médoc, Margaux and Pauillac (the home to the famous Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour and Château Mouton Rothschild) – all on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary.
The charming medieval city of Saint-Émilion awaits the following day.
