The mere mention of the name June Gachui, commands respect, curves a smile across your face and rouses elegant and graceful thoughts. This seasoned singer and songwriter, acclaimed thespian and an accomplished Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer, announced the release of her debut album set for the end of August.

Dubbed ‘Twenty Years’, the album is a testament of her 20-year musical journey and life experiences, as well as an expression of her contagious persona. A lifetime of performances has seen June flex her cords to sing tunes of every genre but her own style is one she fondly refers to as Nyummy Music; songs that will light and stoke a warm feeling within every listener. Lyrics that speak of life. Melodies loaded with feeling. Her ultimate goal is for fans new and old to relate to the stories told by each track on the list.

“It has taken 20 years to find this version of me and this feels like just the right time. It is time,” Gachui shares.

The stage will be set on Tuesday, 30th of August 2016 at the newly refurbished Kenya National Theatre for an exclusive evening, poised to be an unforgettable out-of-the-ordinary experience for all inattendance.

“The show will be a melange of art forms – never seen before! Anyone planning to come should prepare to have all their senses brought to life.” promises Gachui.

The Tuesday’s show will feature collaborations with the incomparable Eddie Grey, the one and only Blinky Bill and Gachui’s all girl band The Flower Project, just to mention but a few.
