    Peeling back the mask!

  • The Kisumu tour should be interesting…

    • Miguna is seeking attention. The people of Kisumu and the rest of Kenya will ignore him.

  • When Kenyans made a new constitution, they believed new freedoms and independence of action were to be ushered in to the country. They expected facts to be countered with facts within the confines of the law. However, what has been happening to brother Miguna Miguna, the former adviser to PM Raila, flies against those high expectations. PM and his supporters seem to believe that violently harrassing critics is a national dialogue. Thats totally unacceptable. Perhaps, guys who have over the years earned thug tags are still marauding in our midst.

PM Raila, with all pretences of reform, has miserably failed to even reform himself! Whats even more shocking is the fact that he doesnt seem to give a damn about tribal violence metted out on his behalf. Its also noteworthy that in 2007/8 post election violence, Raila refused to tell his supporters to stop murderous acts. Infact, the simmering disquiet about ICC cases is founded on that inaction on the part of the PM. That he praised murderous gangs on BBC’s Hardtalk programme is extremely disturbing.

We must remember those numerous people who have fallen off with Raila have had to endure constant insulting violence from his pugnacious supporters. Infact, starting with former Kisumu mayor, Raila in his formative years, had shown alot of love for physical violence. Brothers VP Kalonzo Musyoka, Hon. William Ruto, Hon. Najib Balala and Hon. Mudavadi have had to face constant tribal violence at the hands of Raila goons. Now brother Miguna, who has raised very serious character issues about the PM, is finding himself in the same same violent situations.

Kenyans expected purported reformers to clearly respond to issues raised by Miguna. They never expected fake reformers to violently attempt to depict him as a mad person. One is tempted to ask what advice purported sane people got from a crazy? Only a few days ago, Raila said that he refused to chase after a mad person who had taken off with his clothes while he was bathing. Apparently, because he was too normal, he even continued bathing. While he might have truly been acknowledging that brother Miguna had indeed taken off his cover of deceit, nevertheless, one wonders how he found his way home while naked! What people thought of their PM, with very sound mind indeed, heading home naked is hard to imagine.

Pattern of intolerance violence on the part of PM had formed long long time ago. However, protective tribal opinion leaders have been trying to shield him. But whats heart-ranting is the fact that the person on whose behalf violence is perpetrated, is a presidential candidate. And more shockingly, with pretentious reform agenda. That a person aspiring to be a president is soaked in so much violence is unimaginable. How would such character protect Kenyans, in case God forbid!, he won? How would Kenyans live under him when he has no qualms in not only violently suppressing very valid dissent, but also violently imposing his will? National Cohesion Commission should investigate this individual who seems to be inseperable from violence. We have had enough!
