  • I hope this won’t be another opportunity for her to give us lectures on democracy and governance. What we need as a country is tangible aid, and the sooner the West realizes this, the better for their prospects in Africa.

      We don’t need aid. What we need is opening up of trading opportunities, something Washington hates. They want to keep giving aid with attached conditions meant to benefit them. We want trade. China realized that long ago, and that’s why we are trading with them more and neglecting the West.
