Although details are still sketchy and the rumoured deal was only solidified by a simple group photo of Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy and Jay-Z posing at the Roc Nation office in New York City, the photograph posted on the Nigerian singer’s Instagram reveals that a management and distribution deal has been finalized.
Back in April 2015, Jay-Z revealed that his cousin had “just moved to Nigeria to discover new talent.” Well it seems that the rapper has found what he’s been looking for with Tiwa’s Instagram photo captioned as “Mavin x Roc Nation.” With this signing, Tiwa will be the first Nigerian artiste to be signed to Jay-Z’s label.
