The African and international jazz icon certainly isn’t slowing down by any means. Manu Dibango is 82 years young, and at Sunday’s Koroga Festival, Nairobi’s bi-monthly pan-African music celebration; he looked well, energetic, joyful and as determined as ever to do what he’s always done for decades.
Since Dibango had been billed as a headliner for the 12th edition of Koroga Festival, held at the lush outdoor Arboretum Gardens, despite the torrential rain pour from the day before, the eagerness of festival-goers for his arrival on stage was palpable.
