Wines of South Africa Sommelier Cup kicks off in Kenya

The third Wines of South Africa Sommelier Cup competition is currently underway with semi-finals kicking-off in Kenya on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Nairobi’s Crown Plaza Hotel.

The Wines of South Africa Sommelier Cup consists of two parts: the Semi-finals, which will transpire in each of the participating countries from April to August; and the grand Final, which will take place from 18 – 23 September 2016 in South Africa.

The experience of a lifetime will see each country finalist be hosted in South Africa for a week-long tour of the winelands where they will gain an overview of its winemaking regions, visit prestigious wineries, meet and taste wines with award-winning winemakers, dine in some of South Africa’s iconic restaurants and explore the wonderful Cape region.

The Final will be held on Friday, 23 September 2016 at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town.
