Kendrick Lamar is being sued for $1 million (Sh 101 million) by a disgruntled fan following a meet-and-greet dispute.

The ‘King Kunta’ rapper was due to meet Whitney Larkins after she paid $350 (£233) for a VIP concert package but requested an additional three minutes “one-on-one time” with the singer, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

In the papers filed by Larkins, she claims that his manager Dave Free agreed to her request for time alone with Lamar for a “cash payment of $10,000” (£6,663), but after she “repeatedly tried to get more info from Lamar’s team” she states she received an email the night before the show advising her that she had been banned from attending and would be refunded the original amount of $350 that she paid.

The eager fan added that it is with “deep sadness” that she did not get to meet the rapper and described Lamar’s manager as “arrogant, snotty and an all-around bad dude from the rooter to the tooter!”

Despite her massive claim for damages following the dispute, Larkins praised Lamar as “one of the greatest rappers alive of all time who is on par with Tupac”.

Elsewhere, the 28-year-old singer leads the 58th Grammy Awards 2016 nominations with 11 nods.

Lamar will be hoping February 15 is his lucky night when he contests for prizes including Album of the Year for ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’, Best Rap Album for the same record and the coveted Song of the Year with ‘Alright’.
