Coke Studio Africa Artists to Release Song with NE-YO

4th December 2015…Fans across Africa have been waiting patiently to see American R&B and pop sensation NE-YO on Coke Studio Africa season III. NE-YO is the guest star of the season finale this Sunday. The singer/songwriter and music producer will be wearing all his different hats on the show, musically speaking, something you can’t afford to miss.

The talented musician, who has collaborated with a host of award-winning musicians and songwriters, has several global hits under his wing including Let Me Love You, Beautiful Monster, Coming With You and She Knows featuring Juicy J.

While at Coke Studio Africa, NE-YO has worked with Wangechi (Kenya), Alikiba (Tanzania), Maurice Kirya (Uganda), Dama Do Bling (Mozambique) and Ice Prince (Nigeria) on a special Coke Studio Africa song. The five select stars have already recorded mash-ups that have rocked this season.

Ahead of NE-YO’s anticipated recording with the African stars, he said in an official statement: “It’s a true honour to return to Africa and celebrate artists from all over the continent. By creating this musical fusion through Coke Studio Africa, people of all races, ethnicities and religions will come together through this remarkable opportunity. I’m so excited to build lasting moments with all of these incredibly talented artists and musicians.”

In the past 10 years, NE-YO has produced six albums. His debut album In My Own Words was a bona fide R&B game changer bearing classics: Stay, So Sick, When You’re Mad and Sexy Love. His latest album, Non–Fiction was released in January 2015. The album got to the number five spot on the US Billboard Top 200, making NE-YO the second male R&B artist to have six consecutive top 10 albums.

NE-YO has also garnered several global accolades and is hailed as an incredible songwriter, delivering worldwide hits including Rihanna’s Unfaithful and Beyonce’s Irreplaceable. Aside from NE-YO’s big debut on African TV thanks to Coke Studio Africa, he has also joined the popular American television series, Empire, this year as a music writer and actor.

On Coke Studio Africa, NE-YO’s character as a passionate music man is easily noticeable as he spends endless hours rehearsing and recording with the African stars. NE-YO’s appearance flaunts the show’s pursuit in uniting the best of African and international talent and music on one platform.
