The impression that we are investigating Madrasas as institutions is erroneous. The correct position is that anti-terror operations are basically intelligence led. In this case we have credible intelligence that certain criminally inclined individuals with terrorist intentions are desperate to execute acts of terrorism on Kenyan Soil, they have been using every conceivable means to camouflage their heinous activities including such places of sanctity as Madrasa. Security agents  have therefore been forced to put some of their operational basis (camouflaged as Madrasas) under strict surveillance  to protect the country and innocent people against senseless bloodshed.

Its pity that unscrupulous criminals are desecrating Madrasas to achieve terrorism ends. Madrasas are places of learning where children are taught how to be good citizens and worthy believers, not places to breed heartless terrorist. All those concerned should be jailed for life. .
