“All our energy and commitment will be required to reach the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030 as part of the SDGs,” states Michel Sidibé, UNAIDS Executive Director on World AIDS Day 2015.
The 1st of December marks World AIDS Day. Spearheaded by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the program leads and inspires the world to achieve its shared vision of zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths. By working closely with global and national partners, UNAIDS hopes to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals.
