Charlie Sheen spent over $1 million on prostitutes in one year.

The 50-year-old actor –who revealed this week that he is HIV-positive – reportedly splashed out $1,629,507 (Sh16.3 million) on sex workers in 2013, according to financial records for his production company 9 Step which were obtained by the National Enquirer.

Charlie has been open about his use of prostitutes and a source told RadarOnline: “The item was listed as ‘Friendly Entertainment,’ which was Charlie’s shorthand for sex workers.”

Meanwhile, Charlie revealed in an interview with Matt Lauer on the ‘TODAY’ show that a number of prostitutes had blackmailed him after discovering he had HIV.

He said: “We’re talking about shakedowns. I’ve paid people, not that many, but enough to bring it into the millions and what people forget is that’s money you’ve taken from my kids.

“I trusted them and they were deep in my inner circle, and I thought they could be helpful. My trust turned to their treason. I think I released myself from this prison today.”

He also wrote in a letter to Matt: “In and around this perplexing and difficult time, I dazedly chose (or hired) the companionship of unsavoury and insipid types. Regardless of their salt-less reputations, I always lead with condoms and honesty when it came to my condition.”
