Tanzania’s Alikiba in Nairobi ahead of Sunday’s Koroga Festival

One of East Africa’s hottest musicians, Alikiba, is in Nairobi ahead of his headlining performance at Sunday’s 9th edition of Koroga Festival.

“Nairobi is like home for me. I have done shows in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu; but I have never performed with a live band. It is finally happening this Sunday at the Koroga Festival,” the Bongo Flava superstar told members of the media earlier today at InterContinental Hotel Nairobi.

Preparations for Koroga Festival continue in high-gear as festivalgoers eagerly await for Sunday’s much-anticipated performances by Atemi, Kidum and headlining act – Alikiba.

The Koroga Festival is a bi-monthly event and is a great reflection of Kenya’s brilliant and diverse local talent, whilst also showcasing leading artists from all over Africa through music, fashion, food and arts. Previous editions have seen musicians like Mi Casa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Sauti Sol, Mayonde, Papa Wemba, Freshlyground, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Simphiwe Dana, just to name a few; light up Nairobi’s most popular music festival.

Advance tickets are KSh 1,500 on Ticket SASA and KSh 2,000 at the gate. Children below 12 years of age are free. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited.
