One in ten people orgasm during intense workouts at the gym.
According to Dr Debby Herbenick, a sex professor for Men Health’s magazine and author of The Coregasm Workout, gymgoers sometimes experience feelings of intense pleasure after performing different kinds of hanging leg exercises.
In her book The Coregasm Workout, Herbenick reveals that the gym exercise can lead to an orgasm because of the impact leg routines can have on the abdominal muscles, especially tightening the lower stomach muscles, while lying on a flat surface. Hanging on a bar and doing leg lefts can also bring orgasms without any erotic thoughts or touching of genitals. Herbenick also found that exercise orgasms can come on suddenly – or build up gradually.
The investigation was prompted by readers’ claims of experiencing an orgasm-like experience during their gym routines.
