Zibra ‘Goodbye Mondays

It might have taken a stolen election by KIBAKI to spark off violence in Kenya but the tribal and ethnic fissures have been there for generation. The politically-correct title of ‘communities’ especially the Kikuyu dominance, both in politics and the economy over the last several decades, have left lingering resentment and anger amongst other tribes. What has changed to raise our hopes for peaceful and fair elections, unity and equal opportunities in the future? If another KIKUYU assends to power this time round, in my opinion, I can see Kenya going RWANDA way after next general elections. Whay is your opinion?

    • Oludavin

If another KIKUYU ascends to power this time round, what will stop Kenya going RWANDA way? In my opinion, there should be a law to bar a same tribe president after two terms of one.

      • Uchakaronji

Both of you should think twice before you write comments and if you are idle get something better to do. What if Kikuyus are still the best candidates to lead  country will you start killing other people as you did in 2007? did you gain anything by killing and burning small children and their mothers? shame on you and shut up. God will make sure that none of your preferred candidates will ever be the president of this country.

        • Oludavin

One can’t be iddle and write a comment. I dont agree with your believe that Kikuyus could be still the best candidate! They can only appear if they Kikuyus deny others equal opportunity. Kenya is sea full of good leaders but they are denied a chance by the majority tribes who always favour one of their own and teend to use others as their echo…

          • patriot

This is a stinking Opinion poll. I know Idy Pembere ( the self-claimed-Director of this research) who, in my own opinion, having observed him @ the University as someone who cannot be trusted to give any opinion. He’s a goon for hire who will write anything for money. I won’t be surprised to know that he was paid to do a fitting poll. I pray that we do not put our trust in such people working in backstreet Opinion polls ‘groups’

          • Kalonzo

As Kenyans , we need to grow n go beyond the normal short thinkings. Am not Luo or kikuyu but for a known fact, Uhuru is the second most popular politician after raila n we all know that. So the poll should be respected becos it cannot favor our candidates all the time.. Let’s watch these polls n accept even when they are not on our side.its called democracy…

      • wakigogoine

What an idiot you are. The ONLY way you could be more ignorant is to be born twice !
I hope morons like you do not reproduce.

        • Oludavin

Well this forum is about “opinions” if my opinion wasn’t appealing, I don’t see why u release all what is filty in your head here! OMG, I can guess what that your head consists if all those insults are your product. Maybe some suggery, would help, I suggest. Thanx though.

      • Showthyself

And what will happen with the millions of 20-40 year olds of mixed ethnicity?

Be careful what you wish for keyboard gladiator.

Do not take matters politics so seriously because even your preferred candidate will not come to your rescue when thugs come to rape your mother, wife and daughter in front of you.

Weren’t the majority of dead persons in 2007 Luos despite the fact that the violence was initially targeted at Kikuyus?

Most people that are so concerned about the ethnicity of the president are only concerned because their tribesman has not become president. Do you realize your personal life will not change whoever becomes president?

        • Oludavin

I agree with you but u have not eraced my concerns, Kikuyus, luos, Kalenjins basically tend to vote in there tribe’s men. If this tendency persists then the issue of other minority tribes ascending to power becomes very diffent as per the tribal numbers.., and mentality. Whatever tribe is entitled to lead if one has qualities of leadership, the fear of other tibes is that they don’t see equal opportunity.

      • Martin1

hahahaha, you are just garbage, takataka. And what do you call that? socialism , shetani wewe.

    • Anonymous

You may not like it, but democracy is about majority. if a kikuyu wins 100 times without stealing, so be it. It is right, it is constitutional and you cant do anything about it. People like you are the emenies of the people.

    • Digzby

n u think people will be slapped around as they watch and beg for mercy….? if it ever happens, God forbid, it might be 10 times Rwanda

    • Oludavin

How Uhuru has tramendously gained popularity throughout the country and how that is based on economy can’t be proved or be unmitigatedly explained.

      • Martin1

who will go to war?? tribalist and cowards like you who go throwing stones and running. Be wary for what you wish for, you tribalistic, sheep like individual like your kind will never rule kenya. So what if a luo leads? you think you will get part of his salary?  or you think fish will be the main dish in kenya. jinga wewe. if you are broke now you will be broke later. let me put it this way to you. the property i own, i bought with my hard work. anybody who thinks they can take it from me by force is dead, period.

  • Uchumi2102

Shame  on  our leaders. Does their popularity  mean the well being of common mwananchi or creates more tension among various political groupings in the country? This time round we are closely watching the unfolding of  events and we shall hit back with a poors people revolution alias PPR.

  • steve

Too bad at  this time and hour somebody can think something of Rwanda magnitude can happen in Kenya just because of another kikuyu president. If chaos erupt and God forbids we all suffer regardless of our ethnicity.

    • Martin1

Its stupid tribalist like you who make me sick. am sick and tired of listening to individuals like you from the most tribalistic tribe in kenya( almost 90% of your tribesmen will vote for your fellow tribes man) and yet you go around everywhere shouting kikuyu this, kikuyu that. Do individuals like you think everybody is stupid.

  • TK

In this gang of thieves who plunder and loot our poor country dry, we now have an opinion poll showing us that one thief is slightly more popular than the other.

    What a sick joke!

  • Koech Evans

Te-he-he! The goose’s cooked for Kalonzo! 8 per cent, jameni? Wiper is headed for the opposition benches. And, I better get used to this, hata kama i don’t quite like it: PRESIDENT RAILA ODINGA, today at State House, Nbi, witnessed…. (PPS)

  • David Mbuthia

Too bad for all you guys arguing pointless! This is the first poll yr 2012! expect around 200 more polls before we go to elections!

  • Aptbks

Another opinion poll released immediately after these one shows how naive pollsters can be. i dont need the pemberes,( assuming we have such guys here,) to tell us hw shortsighted they are, because i already know they are.

  • Aluko

If this is true, then UK has all the reasons to smile. But PNU Alliance and G7 leaders should be very careful. These polls could be a poisoned chalice for them. They make it hard for these leaders to unite or compromise and I would not be surprised if these pollsters are in ODM’s payroll.

  • Aptbks

Insight strategist solutions Africa,…. eh opinion polls, they come in all manner of shapes and sizes. This one is a real strategy solution indeed. For whom,…..the guy with the most money!

  • Mbatarejoel

    these are total lies

  • GetReaL

I can’t believe that Kenyans actually think Uhuru Kenyatta is responsible for the stabilisation of the shilling, I mean come on it’s the CBK that deals with exchange rates and foreign intervention whatsoever from the Ministry of Finance. If he was the one doing it then he would be the governor of the CBK. This just shows either Idy Pembere doesn’t know what she’s talking about, Kenyans are ignorant or the research was simply bought. Uhuru running the country based on that…don’t think so.

    • Martin1

From the way you write, at best i would put your smarts on the 20 percentile as compared to the rest of the kenyans you call ignorant. For your information, do your research, before getting in here and showing your IGNORANCE. Uhuru had alot to do with the recovery of the shilling…… do your research, fool!

  • Apopo

have plenty of Confidence in this country, but we are a little short of good
men to place our Confidence in.

  • Alilol

    Kenyans beware!
This is KKK Alliance plan No.1 to rig 2012 elections.
How can a person like Uhuru who is facing crimes against humanity, known as principal master of Mungiki to be voted by most Kenyans?
He is not worth to get even 100 votes.
A sane Kenyan will never vote for a criminal.

  • Alilol

I figured the reason behind release of such opinion results which doesnt make sense.
It was purposely done to tame ICC decision to confirm charges against Uhuru.
Godwilling Uhuru will be committed to full trial and eventually imprisoned.
    Maombi kwa wingi Jameni!!

    • Martin1

GOD….. are you stupid or just an idiot or both. Its stupid thinking that God will grant your evil wishes and its hatespeeches like yours that will lead to the death of people you know in kenya. it happened once but i bet you, you did not lose anybody close. your stupid ass dont know who did what, jus liket me and the next guy. all this hate been spread on the web by cowards likeyou will come and bite you and yours . its not my wish, but that just the way the world work.

  • Ssikuku54

that is a joke, kenyans need to be sha
rp upstairs! how could one think uhuru has anything to do with the improvement or growth of economy!

  • oduor odual

    uhuru kenyatta has all potential

  • odongo opiyo

non sense talking about kikuyus. does the constitution bar them from running the office?

  • I hope that this election thing will end soon so that kenyans can rest.
