The second edition of 100 Days of African Fashion is officially in gear and if the first 11 days are anything to go by, we’re in for a fun, fashionable ride!

As if producing successful Pan African shows, regularly being called upon as a fashion consultant (she was recently asked to join the Mercedes Benz Africa Fashion Week panel) and running a Fashion PR firm wasn’t enough, Diana Opoti is also dedicating 100 days (well, more like 89 and counting as of day of publishing) to promote African fashion.

The fashion enthusiast conceptualized this campaign as a way to drive interest, meaningful conversation and sales towards the incredible talent, designs and brands found within the continent.

Her role as the official Patron for Africa Fashion Week London, 2014, which required that she highlights the continent’s fashion scene is what inspired her to run the first campaign. That, and of course her passion for seeing African brands not only flourish in the international fashion landscape but also find their way into our closets.

So far, the Kenyan trend setter has shared interesting looks like classic cocktail dresses and some edgy capes from brands around the continent including Tunisian designer Mizyana, Uganda’s popular label, Kwesh, and Kenya’s Republike. Best part? All featured products are currently available for purchase from the designers!

This year, Opoti is supported by a dedicated team (read: every girl’s dream glam squad) that helps her create the final look that so many eagerly await on Instagram. She also revealed that she has a special surprise for her supporters to be announced rather soon; something that will allow them to join her campaign and help create conversations around African designers.
