New Princess Diana wedding photographs up for auction

Princess Diana

A set of behind-the-scenes photographs from Princess Diana’s wedding to Prince Charles is going up for auction in Boston next month.

The color and black and white images show Diana in her flowing white wedding gown interacting with her family in candid scenes away from the wedding spectacle.

The images were taken in July 1981 at the reception at Buckingham Palace after the major fanfare of a ceremony in St Paul’s Cathedral, according to RR Auction.

They came from a collection of an assistant to photographer Patrick Lichfield, a cousin of the queen, who had extensive access to the royal family.

Three of the images show Diana holding her youngest bridesmaid, a five-year-old.

In addition to Diana, the images include Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Anne and Princess Margaret.

In 1996 Diana was divorced from Charles, shortly before her death in a Paris car crash in 1997.

The 14 images will go on sale September 24 at a Boston area auction house.

Top-notch reporting of a heart-wrenching story. Mankind has used the ‘animal’ to depict the uncomplimentary but, if that’s the case, then man himself is at the top of that pile of animals. If the office DPP would catch wind of this story and pursue the perpetrators on it’s own initiative, it would surely render redress to someone who has been horrifically violated.

what a sad story, haki these men who rape women are beasts and should be looked in Kamiti for life. How do you rape a mentally challenged woman? Oh my God I think we have lost it as a society. The one man who accepted raping this woman should be jailed to be a lesson to other vultures. where is the provincial administration as all these is happening? Can FIDA pick this case immediately and help this girl. And to the mother may God give you strength and perseverance to bear and care for Mwari. Bravo Capital fm for  your good work.
