John Legend eats food he finds in the bin.

The ‘Ordinary People’ singer’s wife Chrissy Teigen loves cooking but isn’t always happy with her culinary creations, so throws them away, much to the bemusement of her spouse.

Chrissy said: “There are plenty of times when I don’t love something [I’ve cooked]. John always thought my book should be called The Insecure Chef because I would make something and then it would be in the trash.

“He would honestly reach in and taste it and be like, ‘Why did you throw this away? I can’t believe it!’ I make mistakes all the time.

“Trust me, I’m like everyone else. I didn’t go to school. Cooking and watching TV is like my happy space.”

Though the couple have frequently travelled with their work, the 29-year-old beauty is now ready to settle down in one place and start a family with her 36-year-old husband.

She added in an interview with E! Online: “I’m aging. I love bouncing around. I love going on tour with John, we’ve considered ourselves bicoastal for 10 years now. It’s definitely weird and different to have a home now.

“I’m ready to have a family and call Los Angeles my home.”
