Lupita Nyong’o heads to South Africa for new film


Actress Lupita Nyong’o will be heading to the continent of Africa very soon, specifically South Africa.

The Oscar-winner is set to begin filming of her latest project, Queen of Katwe, in May. The film slated to be released in 2016, tells the tale of a young girl from Uganda who trains to become a world chess champion.

According to The Juice and Channel24, Disney South Africa’s communications manager Jared Stokes confirmed that the actress would be flying into the country during the next few weeks, but could not confirm where the film would be shot.
