Kenya’s power vocalist Atemi and Tanzanian songstress Lady Jaydee released “MOYO” – a bonafide East African love song, on Monday.

“MOYO” is a song about different love situations. No matter how tempestuous, passionate or romantic love is in all the scenarios featured in the song – at the end of the day, love is love.

Written by Atemi Oyungu, “MOYO” is Atemi’s debut single from her upcoming third album. The song has been produced by Kenyan producer R-Kay, who was also the producer of Atemi’s “USIJALI” featuring Delvin Savara of Sauti Sol.

The latest single definitely has more of a Zouk-vibe and is a slight departure from Atemi’s known neo-soul style. Is this a precursor to what we can expect on her upcoming album?
