Trying to lose weight? These three common lunchtime habits could be what’s hindering or derailing your diet…

Break these bad lunchtime habits

If you’re on a diet or trying to lose weight, what you do over lunchtime could hinder or derail all the other good habits you follow during the day.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  As it turns out, lunch isn’t too far behind.

To keep your diet from derailing, follow these three lunchtime tips:

  1. Don’t skip lunch, ever. When you skip meals your metabolism slows down, which doesn’t only drain your energy, it makes you more likely to overeat later in the day.
  2. Stop eating straight out of the bag. It’s very easy to eat several servings without realising it when you’re eating directly out of a package.
  3. Give up eating on the go. The same applies for eating on the run because it’s a distracted way of eating. You’re much more likely to take in excessive calories when you’re eating in the car, snacking at your desk, or munching away while walking around.
