Every morning I waddle to the kitchen, hands still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, to brew a cup of Arabica coffee. My preference usually is Ethiopian Sidamo, but I will gladly settle on medium roasted Kenyan AA beans.
Don’t know about you, but nothing wakes me up as much as the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the tickling sensation of rising steam from a cup on the tip of my nose. Wouldn’t it be great if you could wake up like this every morning…well perhaps minus the waddling and the actual need of rolling out of bed?
Introducing the Barisieur – an alarm clock and coffee brewer that promises to do just that – that eases the user into the day with the subtle movement of stainless steel ball bearings that boil the water through induction heating, accompanied by the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
Designed by Nottingham Trent University’s Josh Renouf, the Barisieur is both aesthetically beautiful, practical and reminds all of us there are moments that we need to unwind and relax – “living slow even when times are fast.”
