Plantains are a fruit that you can fry, steam or eat raw. Plantains ripen just like bananas as well and depending on what you like to can cook it when it’s at any stage (green, yellow or black). The key to making the perfect sweet fried plantain is that you use the plantains that are either really yellow or black. Once you have fried the plantain you can serve it with whichever dish you like and you can have it for breakfast, as a dessert or even as a side dish.
