Lady Gaga is the new face of Shiseido.
The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker – who is known for her controversial looks both on and off stage – will front the cosmetics brand’s 2015 New Year’s ad campaign which will be shown exclusively in Japan.
Not only will the 28-year-old singer star in the adverts she will also act as photographer as the campaign is comprised of 50 selfies – with each one making its debut in a different Japanese newspaper throughout the New Year period.
The first 46 images will be printed on Thursday January 1 while the remaining four images will be released on Monday January 5. The images will run in both regional and national titles.
However, Gaga fans across the globe will be left disappointed as, according to WWD, Shiseido has no plans to use the stunning campaign outside of Europe.
Meanwhile, Gaga recently starred alongside legendary singer Tony Bennet in H&M’s Christmas campaign.
The brunette beauty and the 88-year-old crooner – who released their duet album ‘Cheek to Cheek’ earlier this year – starred in a festive TV ad for the high street retailer in which they performed ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)’ from the number 1 record.
