Suzanna Owiyo releases “WAMIEL,” the musician’s latest single and music video, on Sunday.
“WAMIEL” is the first of a series of new music projects in collaboration with new age producers and directors, showcasing the UNEP Goodwill Ambassador and Plan International Goodwill Ambassador’s funk and free spirit. The project’s culmination leads to her upcoming untitled album, set for release in 2015.
“WAMIEL” (Dholuo for Let’s Dance) is a bonafide dance song with authentic African beats that include rhythmic guitars applauding the style of Benga. “WAMIEL” was produced by Fancy Fingers of Sauti Sol and its music video was directed by Enos Olik of Bokeh Family.
