Kenya’s largest whisky festival, EABL Love Whisky Festival is back.
The festival, which is in its second year, aims to change the outlook of the whisky scene by giving consumers an opportunity to experience the finest whisky brands that EABL has to offer in Kenya.
In November 2013, through the biggest whisky-based consumer experience platform in this part of the continent, KBL treated consumers to a month-long fete of whisky tasting events, parties and exclusive mentorship dinners within Nairobi ushering in Kenya’s golden age of whisky.
According to Johnnie Walker Brand Manager Athman Matano, this year’s whisky festival returns with greater promise to unleash a lasting experience for consumers.
“Both existing and potential whisky enthusiasts will be able to experience EABL favourite whiskies with a few new additions; Talisker Storm – A new expression of the beauty of smoky Single Malt Whisky and Bullet Bourbon – the smooth gold medal winning Kentucky bourbon,” Mr. Matano revealed.
He further added, “We still believe that regardless of who you are or where you may find yourself, we can find you a way to enjoy one of our whiskies. And, the EABL Love Whisky Festival is how we prove it.”
This year’s Love Whisky Festival will be held between the months of November and December at popular bars and hotels in and around Nairobi with special events held in other cities to meet the growing demand for knowledge on the whisky category.
The festival comes at a time when Kenya is experiencing a rapidly growing middle-class accompanied by a shift of consumer preferences. This has instigated an appreciation to luxury brands and entertainment with high-end entertainment spots mushrooming in the city to meet the growing demand which is a great opportunity for the whisky category.
