Lady Gaga wants to perform in space with David Bowie

Lady Gaga 3
The ‘You and I’ hitmaker has been booked to perform on a commercial Virgin Galactic voyage next year and is keen for the reclusive ‘Starman’ singer to duet with her via a live video link.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Gaga wants David to perform as she knows what a legend he is and what an amazing talking point it would be. But will he agree to do it?

“Organisers will have a fortune to throw at him. But getting him to say yes might be another matter.”

It is as yet unclear whether the ‘Space Oddity’ singer will accept Gaga’s approach as the 67-year-old singer hasn’t toured since 2004 and made his last live performance at a charity event in 2006.

But even if he doesn’t perform with her, the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker is still excited about performing during the Zero G Colony festival at Spaceport America in New Mexico.

She has previously said: “I can’t wait to perform in space. I can’t wait to design the performance. I’ll be the first recording artist to sing in space.”

It is believed so far 700 passengers, who will experience two minutes of weightlessness on the trip, have paid a staggering £153,000 for a seat on the Virgin Galactic flight.
