Attention drinkers: Nairobians will soon have an unique opportunity to celebrate both the craft and art form that is mixology. Set to take place from the 29th of August to 7th of September, the inaugural Nairobi Cocktail Week 2014 will celebrate the art of mixology over 10 days in the capital of Kenya.
Over 25 bars in Nairobi will be showcasing their best cocktails made from premium brands such as Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whisky, Havana Club 3 YO, Beefeater Gin and Luxardo Sambuca.
Brian Kassim Owango, MD of Aqueous and Founder of Nairobi Cocktail Week hopes the 10-day cocktail blitz will showcase the East African hub’s vibrant and creative side.
The 10-day event will surely see some new drinks created and quality raised in the local mixology scene by inspiring bartenders to step-up their offerings.
