Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter Emma Ferrer has made her modelling debut.

The 20 year old appears on the cover of the September issue of US Harper’s Bazaar in a spread shot by Micheal Avedon, the grandson of famed phtographer Richard Avedon, who coincidentally labelled Audrey his muse in 50s.

The stunning campaign features the brunette beauty channelling Old Hollywood glamour in a silver Lanvin feathered gown – an echo of her iconic grandmother’s timeless style.

Although Emma was never able to meet her grandmother, who passed away from cancer a year before she was born in 1993, she feels she has got to know the actress through stories that her father Sean Hepburn Ferrer – Audrey’s first son with Mel Ferrer – has relayed to her.

She told the magazine: “As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress.

“To me, she was family. I can live with her through my father. His stories are all about his growing up.

“I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline – I believe this was before I understood that she was famous. But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had.”

Emma also admitted she has struggled to come to terms with being related to Audrey but is now starting to understand what it means to be the granddaughter of the famed beauty.

She said: “I’ve been questioning a lot lately what she means to me.

“Sometimes when I was younger, I felt confused toward what having a grandmother like her could mean in my life. But I am now understanding.”
