Flower walls reminiscent of Kim Kardashian’s flower backdrop at her wedding, endless outpour of cocktails and wine in well manicured hands, and a shirtless Bien from Sauti Sol to crown the night. That was the scene at Unilever’s re-launch of their well known brand, LUX.
The beauty brand, which was launching five new variants of their products into the market, invited the who’s who to the event held at Villa Rosa Kempinski this past Saturday, in Nairobi, Kenya. All the guests were greeted at the door by a bevy of beauties in blush pink gowns and a few lucky guests were chauffeured to the venue in a limo courtesy of the hosts.
The red carpet event, hosted by Grace Msalame and Capital FM’s own Maqbul Mohammed, was graced by some of Kenya’s hottest influencers including Ann McCreath, Patricia Kihoro, Edith Kimani, Suzie Wokabi and Kenyan Stylista amongst others, all of whom were dressed to the nines.
Speeches introducing the new lines were briefly held and a short fashion show revealed beautiful gowns from designers Wambui Kibue of Angelsmile House of Design and Ogake Mosomi of Ogake, all of which complimented the new LUX variants colours.
Later that night Sauti Sol took over the stage performing some of their popular hits including “Nishike” which was definitely a crowd pleaser. The invited guests were able to wine, dine, dance and experience the new product range in sophistication.
