Freshlyground delighted fans in Nairobi, Kenya as the city played host to the inaugural The Koroga Festival. The bi-monthly music and arts event was also a homecoming for Kenyan soul artists Dela and Neema.
Music lovers packed the intimate and lush Arboretum Gardens, which was transformed into a Sunday afternoon of food, fashion and music.
During their energetic set, Afro-fusion band Freshlyground played popular favourites like “Pot Belly,” “Ma’Cheri,” and “Fire Is Low.” The already dancing sell-out crowd went into a frenzy when the group played their 2004 hit single “Doo Bee Doo.”
“Nairobi you guys are great! We’re going to take a picture of you for our Facebook!” Zolani Mahola, lead vocalist of Freshlyground shouted.
Freshlyground ended their amazing 90-minute set with a photo of their Nairobi fans rushing towards the stage.
