Kenya’s dancehall king, Wyre, one of Africa’s most entertaining performers has been nominated for 2014 World Music Awards for World’s Best Male Artist.
Joining Wyre in the prestigious category include global hit-makers Jay Z, Chris Brown and Kanye West.
Set to take place at Monte Carlo, Monaco, World Music Awards honours the best-selling recording artists from every continent.
“They [artists] are presented on sales merit and voted by the public on the Internet. There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans that vote and buy the records,” posted on World Music Awards Facebook page.
