Tusker unveils participants of the “Twende Kazi” reality show

Tusker, East African Breweries Limited’s flagship brand has announced the first few confirmed celebrity participants of the newly launched “Twende Kazi” reality show.

Tusker has also confirmed that the show’s host would be the sassy Channel O VJ, actress, radio and TV personality, Joey Muthengi.

Meet the contestants thus far:

In the company of 1968 Olympic Champion Kipchoge Keino is yet another great athlete; Ezekiel Kemboi.

Charles Bukeko better known as “Papa Shirandula” will also take part in the challenge which will test his resilience and fighting spirit as will Uganda’s bad boy Bebecool.

Ugandan Radio Presenter Flavia Tumisiime will also be part of the star-studded line-up together with former Capital FM radio presenter Seanice Kacungira.

Rapper STL will have to prove her mettle against Buzz editor and music critic Phillip Mwaniki, while it will be interesting to see if volleyball player Janet Wanja will bring her enviable experience to the daring challenges she will be presented with.

‘King wa Rap’ Collins Majale, is a monument in the evolution of Kenyan music and it is for this reason that he has been chosen as one of the celebrities to take part in this exciting phase of Tusker’s ode to the country’s 50th anniversary.

Funny man Phelix Odiwuor also known as “Jalang’o” and veteran radio presenter Fred Obachi Machoka will both show what they are made of during the run of the Tusker Twende Kazi program that will begin airing on 23rd February as will vivacious TV and radio presenter Eve D’Souza.

Dj Adrian Washika has proven he has staying power over the years, with his irrefutable reputation as “Your Dj’s favorite Dj”.It will be interesting to see if he has the same wit and drive to get the bottle to Humphrey Khayange in London.

Also in the cast is Ugandan crooner Maurice Kirya who will be joined in the expedition by the dynamic duo that is Radio and Weasel. Former beauty queen Pinky Ghelani is known for her elegance. Will she be able to rough it out in a foreign country with limited resources?

Vioja Mahakamani Judge Lucy Wangui and prolific footballers Allan Wanga, Jeremy Onyango and Jacob Keli will also be a part of the diverse line-up.

“The validation of this first group of celebrities is a way to affirm to the public that we are on course with the show. We are working tirelessly to ensure the show will be a success,” said Antony Esyalai, Tusker Marketing Manager, EABL.

Eventually, the programme will feature a cast of 25 well-known East African celebrities, and 25 East Africans from all walks of life partnering with them. The competition takes place over a 50 day period.
