Clearly the year 2013 was Lupita Nyong’o ‘s breakout year with the Kenyan actress landing magazine shoots and numerous nominations, but 2014 may just be the year where the talented beauty will reap the rewards of her hard work with Awards Season only around the corner.
Adding to her slew of nominations, Nyong’o has been nominated for 2014 BAFTA Rising Star Award. Nyong’o ‘s acclaimed feature film debut performance in 12 Years a Slave has definitely ensured the young starlet will continue to shine brightly for the coming year.
Decided by public vote, the winner will be announced during the British Academy Film Awards – Britain’s equivalent to the Oscars – on 16th February 2014.
