Weight Loss: Detox is important
In order for weight loss to happen efficiently, it is important to detoxify the body as well. The body stores toxins in adipose (fat) cells, and has difficulty breaking down the fat cells because it would mean a release of toxins in the body. Therefore, it is important to first start detoxifying as you begin your weight loss program.
Detoxifying means making sure your bowel movements are regular, your liver is flushing out any toxins and your kidneys are eliminating any wastes well.
Sweating through the skin is also an important detoxification process, since your skin is the largest organ in the body. Adrenal and thyroid function should also be supported, since these two organs keep your metabolism up and helps to burn fat.
Remember, diet and exercise are key to weight management, and these are your best starting points.
