#Helpachildreach5: A father gives thanks for his first child turning five

Unilever’s health soap brand Lifebuoy has launched a social media campaign aimed at raising awareness on the importance of hand washing with soap to reduce child mortality rates in the country.

A run-up to the annual Global Handwashing Day on October 15th, Lifebuoy will donate 1 Kenyan Shilling towards promoting child health through hygiene education in Kenya for every Youtube video view and share on social media mediums such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.

The Social Media Campaign dubbed ”Help a Child reach the age of five” aims to raise Kshs 800, 000 that will be used to raise awareness on the importance of hand washing with soap. The campaign will run for a period of 45 days.

Gondappa’s story follows a father’s journey to give thanks for his first child turning five: a landmark event given that every year, 2 million children under the age of 5 die every year of infections like Diarrhoea and Pneumonia.
