“Whine up” features an orchestral interlude, Caribbean fused percussion and punctuated vocal harmonies which is a testament to the artist’s production versatility and coupled with the presence of Big Pin is bound to make it a must listen to record.
Ndegz admits that it’s not every day that one has the privilege to work with an artist they have looked up to and grew up listening to “I’ve always admired Pin”.
Big Pin is easily one of Kenya’s most recognizable names in the music industry. His career spans over 10years, having worked with artists like Amani, Patonee, the late K- Rupt and E- Sir, Nameless, Collo, Kleptomaniax, Habib and Sanaipei Tande. His slew of hits include “Big Pin – Beast from the East”, “Talk To You” and “Natafuta”, the latter earning him the coveted KORA™ Award for “Best Male Artist in East Africa”.
“He is just one of those exceptionally talented guys bound to make hits for a very long time” Ndegz said in reference to Big Pin’s continued success in the music industry. “The collabo wasn’t planned, Pin was in the studio, he heard the track, he wrote a quick verse, and the rest as they say is history.”
The club banger single follows the successful release from the artist after “All She Wanna Do”, “Lift Me Up” and “The Good Life” in 2012, and will be his second collaborative effort having featured in the successful Madtraxx smash hit “Skamaress” in 2011.
“Whine Up” will premier on all major radio stations and will be available free for download and streaming from Friday 13th September.
Ndegz is currently with Red Republik Music Studios, recording a string of hits with various producers including Madtraxx, Provoke, Majic Mike and Jaaz Odongo which he says will be released in the coming months.
