Atemi teams up with Praiz for Manzili concert

ATEMI-PRAIZ

Kenyan diva Atemi Oyungu will be on stage with Nigeria’s answer to John Legend, Praiz, this Saturday, in an event to launch Atemi’s latest album Manzili.

The performance by the two strong artistes is expected to be a bit of a love fest, judging by the genre of music that they subscribe to.

Concert doors at the Carnivore Grounds open at 7pm and go on into the wee hours of the morning.

Atemi’s band will be the supporting cast for the two stars. The Nigerian singer meanwhile has been in the country since Monday, along with some of his back-up singers, prepping to deliver an impressive show.

The musicians have been working on a song together which they will perform for audiences for the first time on Saturday.

Atemi is managed by Taurus Musik who have organised the event. Manzili is Atemi’s sophomore album and features the hit track Usijali, which she did with Delvin Mudigi of Sauti Sol.

Praiz, real name Praise Adejo, emerged from the rafters in 2008 when he made it to the finals of the MTN Project Fame West Africa. Since then, with his John Legend inspired sound, he has been partnering with superstar artistes like M.I. and Bez to get his own way to the top.

His most recent single Rich and Famous has earned him choruses of praise and admiration – even as he prepares to launch his debut album.

After this concert in Carnivore, Praiz will share the stage with Babyface, Mike Epps and Waje in Lagos next month.
