Rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, Beyonce’s hubby, and occasional actor, Jay-Z, is adding another title to his collection – co-composer of the original musical score for the upcoming film “The Great Gatsby.”

Starring Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, the film is set in the 1920s, but the music will certainly not be as “period” as the set with Jay-Z co-writing the original musical score.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann, who also directed the period films “Romeo & Juliet” and “Moulin Rouge,” the modern twist to his latest “The Great Gatsby” will definitely keep moviegoers curious with its modern twist.

The film’s trailer features one of Jay-Z’s collaborations with Kanye West, “No Church in the Wild,” hinting to the rapper’s involvement.

The Jay-Z’s producer-songwriter, The Bullitts, broke the news on Twitter: “Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming#CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!”

The latest “The Great Gatsby,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, hits theaters May 10.
