Dwele Interview: life, music and girls

Hit music maker Dwele settled into Nairobi yesterday, a day after a 15-hour flight brought him to his first performance in Kenya.

After a day of interviews, the young musician was the centre-piece at a dinner hosted by Eat Out Kenya at the Onami Bar and Restaurant.

Some quick chow was followed by the screening of James Bond’s latest edition, code name Skyfall.

Dwele, full name Andwele Gardner, is in Kenya for Blankets and Wine this Sunday, which will also feature Mzungu Kichaa from Tanzania, Kidum and Kagwe Mungai.

The musician, whose latest album hit the stores earlier this year, was on Capital FM’s The Jam with Cess Mutungi. Check out the interview…

Dwele likes to say that his new album is a soundtrack to life, as it has songs that can fit across several moods and scenarios.

Cess also had a chat with Dwele’s manager Timothy Mayner, to get a closer look at the neo-soul singer.
