Bez in Kenya for Tusker Malt 100 Club

Nigerian soul star BEZ is in the country for the very first Tusker Malt 100 Club event.

The 28 year old artist arrived in Nairobi last night with band members in tow ahead of tonight’s intimate invite only-event at the National Museum.

Bez, who has several nominations at Nigeria’s iconic Headies Awards and whose track That Stupid Song, was the first African video played on BET’s 106 & Park, sounded as good as his CD when he sang on the Capital In the Morning show.

He will perform alongside Sara Mitaru this evening, in a mash up of their music that will also feature the collaborative effort: Keep Me From You.

This is excellent. I think perhaps the first presidential visit to the town of Merti ever, but then I could be wrong. I travelled that road severally during each years when I was working with an NGO is Kenya, and each time my heart gladdened when I reached Merti after 5-6 grilling hours in the land rovers. I am delighted that it has received presidential attention.
