Pairing your wine with Ugali and Sukuma Wiki

As stated by an expert in the field, basic Kenyan foods such as Ugali, Sukuma Wiki (kale) and some nyama (meat) on the side can be easily enjoyed with a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot wine.

Mary Musembi, wine taster and trainer at Wines of the World Kenya, says that for most local food, a blend of Cabarnet Sauvignon/Merlot is the perfect match.

“Whether with a steak, githeri, or even a rice curry, that blend goes very well,” she promised Capital Lifestyle.

She was speaking at a Wines of the World Club meet at the Secret Garden restaurant off Riverside Drive.
