The annual Trendz Kenya Fashion Festival (TKFF) will take place on July 14th Poolside at The Tribe Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

TKFF is a platform for Designers, Exhibitors/Retailers, Models from East Africa and the rest of the world to showcase their creativity, market their art and network with potential clientele.

Now into its third year, TKFF 2012 promises to be bigger and better with the evening’s gala event being showcased to the entire world, streamed live on Capital TV.

DESIGNER PROFILE: Niku Singh

Niku Singh, an emerging designer, was born and raised in Nairobi and hails from a family background of creative people.
He has always had a passion for the Arts and Crafts and creative activities since childhood which led him to his profession.

With his artistic background, and his ability to pay great attention to detail, Niku creates and manufactures a variety of beautiful aluminum and brass beads for the Kenyan company Kitengela Glass and London based Fashion brand and company “Made”, where he currently designs his own exclusive collection of jewelry.

 

Niku’s creations have been inspired by his passion for anything and everything artistic. His designs are an exceptional merge of costume and semi precious stone jewelry.

Niku’s most popular items are his unique and spectacular custom designed & handmade beads from recycled materials with his creation of jewelry. Niku tends to use his own beads, which is his signature, in most of his jewelry, producing the most stunning and exquisite pieces. He designs pieces for both men and women.
