Donna Summer laid to rest in Nashville

Queen of Disco Donna Summer has been laid to rest in a private funeral ceremony attended by a few hundred friends and family members.

She was buried after a service at the Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville Tennessee, where the musician has lived since the 1990s.

No cameras were allowed into the church venue, as close friends and fellow musicians sang and paid tribute to the “She Works Hard For The Money” singer.

Summer’s brother Ricky Gaines reportedly spoke at the funeral, as well as several of her girlfriends, who shared tales of their friendship.

Donna is survived by husband Bruce Sudano, and her three daughters, Brooklyn, Mimi and Amanda.
