With only seven days to go, the excitement surrounding the 13th Cape Town International Jazz Festival has just hit a new high with multi-Grammy Award winner Lauryn Hill confirming her performance on Saturday, 31 March 2012.

Hill’s confirmation comes on the heels of Jill Scott’s cancelation, and ensures that festival goers can expect nothing less than a sensational show.

“She [Lauryn Hill] completes a line-up of world class acts that audiences have come to expect from the festival,” says Rashid Lombard, espAfrika CEO.

With the festival completely sold out, organizers urge non-ticket holders not to even try their luck at festival gates.

Hill first broke out on to the international music scene as a member of Fugees, and later in 1998, launched her solo career, which propelled her into superstardom with her earning 5 Grammy Awards.

Since 2011, Hill has been touring in the festival scene with performances at Coachella Valley Music Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest and Rock The Bells.
